Message from Delegate for Formation,

Best wishes to Rudolph Nyamudo who will be participating in an Islamic Immersion programme organised by the Middle East Province. Rudolph leaves for Beirut during the first week of July. 

We congratulate Tichafara Nerwande and Alex Dakamire who will be travelling to Lusaka to join the novitiate on Thursday 12th July. Tichafara wishes to be a brother while Alex would like to be a priest. Anesu Manyere and the Provincial will travel with these two to Lusaka and while there, witness the profession of first vows by our four second year novices.  

Let’s pray for Regis KomtenzaTanaka MashicheNobert Munekani and Tawanda Chamba who will profess their first vows in Lusaka on Saturday 14th July. They will all return to the Province and join the community at Arrupe College from 26th July.  

 


Albert Mugari, Garikai Madavo and Trust Dekwende, who are studying Philosophy in India, will profess their first vows on 31st July. Please pray for the seven new scholastics we have been blessed with this year. 


The Province will host a pre-ordination dinner for our four deacons on Thursday 19th July at 6.30 pm at Arrupe College. You are all invited.

 

Gilbert Banda, Musekiwa Peter, Clyde Muropa and Chrispen Matsilele will be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Dieter Scholz on Saturday 21st July at St Canisius Parish, Marlborough. Mass will begin at 9.00 am. Please join the newly ordained priests and their families for lunch after mass.

Clyde Muropa: Karonga, Mutoko, Sunday 22nd July,

Gilbert Banda: Holy Name, Mabelreign, Sunday 22nd July

Musekiwa Peter: St Stephen’s, Dzivarasekwa, Sunday 22nd July

Chrispen Matsilele: Chiredzi, Sunday 29th July

 

Three regents are moving to the next stage of their formation. Ignatious Munyoro joins the community at Hekima College, Nairobi, on 25th July, to begin studies in Theology. Courage Bakasa and Anold Moyo will be going to London for studies in September. Courage will be doing Theology while Anold will do an MA in Development Studies.

 

We welcome Tafadzwa Masakare back to the Province for his vacation and pastoral fieldwork. Tafadzwa will be working at St Peter’s Parish, Mbare. Shepherd Muhamba returns to Hekima College to begin the Arrupe month during the first week of July. Fanuel Shamido left the Society on 18th June. We wish him well as he makes a new beginning.
